School On Wheels Massachusetts (SOWMA)
School on Wheels was founded in 2004 by Cheryl Opper of Easton, a teacher and child advocate whose mission is to increase the education level and personal success of children impacted by homelessness. By providing academic support, 1-on-1 mentoring, and necessary school supplies, SOWMA helps these children to understand and reach their full potential. It is the 3rd such program in the country and provides customized services for 200+ students per week in grades K-12 at 15 program sites including Brockton, Weymouth, and Fall River.
Run entirely by volunteers, the primary goal of the Massachusetts Vest-A-Dog organization is to provide bulletproof vests, essential equipment, training, and funds for the purchase dogs for police/law enforcement K-9 programs throughout Massachusetts. Please help support the dogs that help protect you.
